More than a billion people around the world are connected to the net, but speed of access ranges from dial-up to fibre optic connections.
Use this map to explore the state of our Broadband World across eight different countries, as explained by BBC correspondents and reporters.
Our neighbour, Singapore.
With one of the most accessible broadband networks in the world, Singapore offers free access for all. Nevertheless, most people opt to pay for the service.
That’s mean if you are in Singapore, you can access internet everywhere. It’s totally different in Malaysia, even we’re in Klang Valley the speed and coverage is very bad. Some say not a broadband, but a berukband, and it’s not a stremyx but it’s a siputmyx.
